Please read over each discount below carefully. There are directions on how to apply on the back of each discount card.
The ACP and MEBB programs are currently unavailable due to lack of government funding.
Low Income Access Program (LIAP)
Low Income Access Program (LIAP)
All those who already receive energy assistance programs for their electric account can get a $30 discount on their broadband account. (Effective May 1, 2024)
All discounts are applied beginning with the first full month’s bill.
Eligible households:
• Households that qualify for energy assistance also qualify for this discount.
How to enroll:
• Call Choptank at 877-892-0001 to let us know you receive energy assistance and we will apply the $30 discount to your broadband account.
MD Emergency Broadband Benefit (MEBB)
MD Emergency Broadband Benefit (MEBB)
This program is currently unavailable due to lack of funding from the state government.
The Maryland Office of Statewide Broadband provides an additional $15 per month discount for internet service for households that enroll in the federal ACP. As of February 2024, the FCC is no longer accepting new applications for the Affordable Connectivity Program. If the program is discontinued due to a lack of funding from Congress, current enrolled customers will no longer receive the ACP or MEBB discounts on their Choptank Fiber bill.

As of February 2024, the FCC is no longer accepting new applications for the Affordable Connectivity Program. If the program is discontinued due to a lack of funding from Congress, current enrolled customers will no longer receive the discount on their Choptank Fiber bill.
Helps qualifying/enrolled low-income households pay for internet with a $30 per month discount.
Eligible households:
• 200% of federal poverty level, or
• Participants in SNAP, Medicaid, WIC or other programs
• Children attend schools designated for assistance
